'The Bear Around Your Neck' is the solo project of 18 year old Nathaniel Scott. Bear's debut EP 'At Lake Bury-Me', is, as the title suggests, a sparse, melancholy record driven by raw emotion and frenetic acoustic guitar playing. With stylistic nods to Bright Eyes and his hero Elliott Smith, as well as references to the grislier sides of love and nature, this record is one you'd pack when heading off into the woods on your own for a few days.
